Jorge Cristofol started the match with the kick off. Leonides Matteo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 12th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Yan Penha. With his leg Leonides Matteo managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when SORRISO E. C.'s Horácio Pereira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leonides Matteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Mendonça in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, SORRISO E. C.'s Alfredo da Rocha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Leonides Matteo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Mendonça went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Mendonça in the 23rd minute of play forced PLUMIN's goalkeeper Leonides Matteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when PLUMIN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Osmundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, PLUMIN's Leonides Matteo got control of the ball when Horácio Pereira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner. Yan Penha went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 32nd minute, Froilan Urtungo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clodoveo Benvide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 37 minutes, Alberto Mendonça made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. PLUMIN's Leonides Matteo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Cristofol hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as SORRISO E. C.'s Alberto Mendonça slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leonides Matteo. That made the score 4-0 after 40 minutes of play. PLUMIN's Leonides Matteo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo da Rocha in the 43rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, SORRISO E. C.'s Leonides Matteo threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberto Mendonça, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Leonides Matteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Penha in the 53rd minute of the match. Leonides Matteo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Alfredo da Rocha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SORRISO E. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. If Froilan Urtungo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Alfredo da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Matteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo da Rocha took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonides Matteo. Leonides Matteo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Ruperto Osmundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Viana having to interfere. Alfredo da Rocha took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonides Matteo. Leonides Matteo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. When Alfredo da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the SORRISO E. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo da Rocha couldn't finish the play. After 87 played minutes PLUMIN got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Benvide. Alfredo da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Matteo having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Celedonio Urritz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PLUMIN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SORRISO E. C. the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, PLUMIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Urritz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when PLUMIN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Urritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Matteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo da Rocha in the 94th minute of play.
