If Marc Saelens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, KV Schoonwater's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Munoz came free, but Nicky Rauvoets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of KV Schoonwater booed when San Marino Thm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Munoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Diogo Marines reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nicky Rauvoets. The goal made the score 0-3. 86 minutes into the match, KV Schoonwater's Marc Saelens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Devis Vasquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to KV Schoonwater getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Laurenz Kerselaers hit a great ball. Thomas Eekhout hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The KV Schoonwater supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching San Marino Thm's performance. The match ended with a win for San Marino Thm.
