An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Sanchez in the 3rd minute of play forced Mean Machine's goalkeeper Viggo Vallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viggo Vallin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Sanchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sonny Rosén received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erauso Septiem came out and tried to block the shot, but Sonny Rosén slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. In the 17th minute, Teofilo Sanchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaston Raireta hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Rayland FC's Erauso Septiem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Rayland FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Tommy Hedlund took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Erauso Septiem to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Mean Machine defense, Ray Peña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viggo Vallin. The Mean Machine fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viggo Vallin should have stopped the shot. Erauso Septiem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Hedlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 37 minutes, Beltxe Gainza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rayland FC and the Mean Machine players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Teofilo Sanchez made a precise shot to the right of Viggo Vallin. Mean Machine's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Sonny Rosén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Tommy Hedlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mean Machine's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Hedlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erauso Septiem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rayland FC's Ray Peña couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mean Machine. Mean Machine made a substitution. Hubert Nordmark replaced Douglas Västerstrand. Sven-Ove Dahlgren's late challenge caught a Rayland FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Ove Dahlgren helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Mean Machine got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Dahlgren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Ove Dahlgren in the 63rd minute of play forced Rayland FC's goalkeeper Erauso Septiem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hubert Nordmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, Hubert Nordmark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mean Machine's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rayland FC the free kick. A collision led to Mean Machine getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Hubert Nordmark hit a great ball. Erauso Septiem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Dahlgren in the 70th minute of the match. Tommy Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erauso Septiem having to interfere. After some careless play in the Rayland FC defense, Sven-Ove Dahlgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erauso Septiem. The Rayland FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erauso Septiem should have stopped the shot. After 93 played minutes Mean Machine got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Nordmark. 95 minutes into the game, Esbjörn Drake was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mean Machine's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rayland FC the free kick. In the 95th minute, Esbjörn Drake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rayland FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
