After a defensive mix-up in Icoara Football Club's zone, Maximo Villamarin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Guerra came out of the goal and Maximo Villamarin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Red Reign fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Red Reign's Derlis Florentin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 8 played minutes Red Reign got a freekick which was hit by Zigor Ardanza. Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Villamarin in the 11th minute of play. Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Villamarin in the 13th minute of the match. Maximo Villamarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Villamarin in the 14th minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Durval Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Vergílio. If Maximo Villamarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximo Villamarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute Cipriano Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dawid Ratulowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Icoara Football Club were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Red Reign's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iuri Ortiz took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximo Villamarin in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Villamarin in the 36th minute of play. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Maximo Villamarin sped through Icoara Football Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Durval Guerra. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Red Reign's Zorion Pelegri was substituted for Derlis Florentin. Red Reign's Ismael Blanco was substituted for Xosepe Villamizar. Maximo Villamarin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Durval Guerra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Durval Guerra managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Red Reign's Maximo Villamarin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maximo Villamarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Durval Guerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximo Villamarin ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximo Villamarin got free with Durval Guerra in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Red Reign's Maximo Villamarin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Durval Guerra. Durval Guerra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Maximo Villamarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Durval Guerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximo Villamarin ran back to his position shaking his head. Durval Guerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximo Villamarin in the 70th minute. Maximo Villamarins short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Durval Guerra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Murilo Silveira made in the 75th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cipriano Santana however managed to control. The audience was convinced that Maximo Villamarin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Guerra was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Maximo Villamarin could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Durval Guerra however easily saved by the left post. Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Icoara Football Club from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 82 in the game by Maximo Villamarin from a close distance when the talented Durval Guerra managed to make a qualified save. Icoara Football Club's players were relieved. After 82 minutes, Maximo Villamarin made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Murilo Silveira made in the 89th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Adriano Vergílio immediately put the ball in play. Durval Guerra was a little too slow when Maximo Villamarin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 0-8. In the 97thth minute of the game Zorion Pelegri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Icoara Football Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Red Reign's performance. The match ended with a win for Red Reign.
