The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Yu Song Cheng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romário Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Délio Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute, Inge Collin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Durval Guerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Marcus Sjöö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pelle Nyqvist fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monia&Ibrahim's protests and gave Pelle Nyqvist a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Monia&Ibrahim got a freekick which was hit by Pelle Nyqvist. Durval Guerra came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Monia&Ibrahim's Pelle Nyqvist. But to his dismay, Pelle Nyqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Monia&Ibrahim booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edgar Rosén fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monia&Ibrahim's protests and gave Edgar Rosén a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Monia&Ibrahim got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Rosén. Marcus Sjöö was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cipriano Santana. Monia&Ibrahim's Marcus Sjöö proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Monia&Ibrahim from getting a goal against them. Marcus Sjöö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Santana in the 39th minute of play. Durval Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Collin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 44th match minute, Monia&Ibrahim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Witomir Naujasodis to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute of the match, Erik Antunes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcus Sjöö saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Pelle Nyqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Guerra was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. In the 47th minute, Cipriano Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Icoara Football Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Monia&Ibrahim were winning 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pelle Nyqvist made a kick off. 50 minutes into the game, one of Monia&Ibrahim:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Iuri Ortiz shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Marcus Sjöö showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute of the match, Cao Wei Liang tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Durval Guerra saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Icoara Football Club's Dito Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cipriano Santana took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcus Sjöö. Marcus Sjöö dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 63rd minute Dito Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Sjöö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66thth minute of the game Pelle Nyqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cipriano Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Monia&Ibrahim made a substitution. Sebastian Malm replaced Pelle Nyqvist. Adriano Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Antunes in the 80th minute of play forced Monia&Ibrahim's goalkeeper Marcus Sjöö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Guerra made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Inge Collin sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th match minute, Monia&Ibrahim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Witomir Naujasodis to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Adriano Camargo got a free kick in the 88th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Sebastian Malm notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra. Durval Guerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 96 played minutes Monia&Ibrahim got a freekick which was hit by Inge Collin. Cipriano Santana scored 2-3 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Sjöö, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle went the supporters of Monia&Ibrahim were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Icoara Football Club side.
