In the 18th minute Gustavo Barros Schelotto suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 18 minutes, Cipriano Santana mouthed his way into the referee's book. Eustaquio Tulio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Ramos in the 30th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Iuri Ortiz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eustaquio Tulio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 34th match minute, Icoara Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Camargo to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Durval Guerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aureliano Buendia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Guerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Durval Guerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aureliano Buendia's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. When Juan Galo came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Albardón F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Galo couldn't finish the play. Durval Guerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aureliano Buendia went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 46 minutes into the game, Juan Galo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albardón F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icoara Football Club the free kick. Juan Galo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Buendia in the 51st minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Durval Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Albardón F.C got a corner. Icoara Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcial Salomone ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcial Salomone made a great header on Albardón F.C's corner, it was just that Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Albardón F.C booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Silveira. A collision led to Icoara Football Club getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Murilo Silveira hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the game, Muhammet Eronat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albardón F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icoara Football Club the free kick. Muhammet Eronat kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The long shot by Iuri Ortiz in the 61st minute really tested Eustaquio Tulio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 63 played minutes Albardón F.C got a freekick which was hit by Léo Simão. Albardón F.C made a substitution. Seyit Ersayın replaced Ivan Gaizko. Léo Simão hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Icoara Football Club's Murilo Silveira shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Eustaquio Tulio but with some difficulty. Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Galo in the 67th minute of play. Aureliano Buendia struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Durval Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albardón F.C. Durval Guerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aureliano Buendia went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the game, Albardón F.C's Aureliano Buendia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durval Guerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Eustaquio Tulio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Antunes in the 87th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Cipriano Santana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eustaquio Tulio. The goal made the score 5-1. Icoara Football Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
