If Otto Fesik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edin Džeko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marc-André Grifoll read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Atlético Capixaba's Marc-André Grifoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medero Gadea in the 21st minute of play. Marc-André Grifoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Cristofor, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Mario Cristofor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GeRaÇãO-83 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marc-André Grifoll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edin Džeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Edin Džeko made a precise shot to the right of Marc-André Grifoll. Atlético Capixaba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edin Džeko in the 34th minute of play forced Atlético Capixaba's goalkeeper Marc-André Grifoll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Radowit Ciechocki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Grzegorz Siekierski was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radowit Ciechocki in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grzegorz Siekierski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 64 minutes into the game, Edin Džeko recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marc-André Grifoll. Edin Džeko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. GeRaÇãO-83's Jiang Xiang Sheng was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marc-André Grifoll in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paulinho Ralf hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, GeRaÇãO-83's Edin Džeko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marc-André Grifoll made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 90th minute Leopoldo de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grzegorz Siekierski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naldo Machado charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
