Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pranas Užkuraitis started the match with the kick off. Jon Iruegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pranas Užkuraitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. When Fernanco Peso came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Sporting Cristal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernanco Peso couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pranas Užkuraitis in the 12th minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Pranas Užkuraitis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jon Iruegas was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Sporting Cristal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Pranas Užkuraitis scored to the left of an out of position Jon Iruegas, making the score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernanco Peso in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petr Čech saved Batalhão do Peçanha from getting behind. If Pranas Užkuraitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jon Iruegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pranas Užkuraitis in the 28th minute of the match. Petr Čech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernanco Peso's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernanco Peso in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petr Čech saved Batalhão do Peçanha from getting behind. Pranas Užkuraitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 34th minute Pranas Užkuraitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Iruegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petr Čech came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso. But to his dismay, Fernanco Peso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 41st minute, Sal Grandoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pranas Užkuraitis got free with Jon Iruegas in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Barr Eira fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batalhão do Peçanha's protests and gave Barr Eira a yellow card for diving instead. Barr Eira hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gertjan De Ryck in the 45th minute of the match. Pranas Užkuraitis hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernanco Peso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Pranas Užkuraitis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jon Iruegas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A collision led to Sporting Cristal getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Cazimir Gogea hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sporting Cristal's Sal Grandoso got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Sporting Cristal booed when Batalhão do Peçanha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barr Eira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barr Eira kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Pranas Užkuraitis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sporting Cristal's Christian Luciano was substituted for Fernanco Peso. Christian Luciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petr Čech having to interfere. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Luciano in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Sporting Cristal's Christian Luciano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Batalhão do Peçanha's Petr Čech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Batalhão do Peçanha from getting a goal against them. Christian Luciano took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petr Čech. Petr Čech dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sporting Cristal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
