Ivaylo Yordanov started the match with the kick off. Antero Linhares made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Jerónimo Furtado sent off a good shot on target. Leukothoe Atsidakos took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antero Linhares. Antero Linhares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivaylo Yordanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Jerónimo Furtado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antero Linhares. U21 Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerónimo Furtado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Adalberto Bomba hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Antero Linhares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Antero Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerónimo Furtado in the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's goal looked a bit too open when Ivaylo Yordanov came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ booed when U21 Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Ventura didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Portugal's Mustapha Hadji quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Horia Taşcu, made in the 31st minute of the game. The supporters of Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ booed when U21 Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivaylo Yordanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Jerónimo Furtado in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Portugal's goalie prevented a goal. José Ventura struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Edwin van der Sar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Portugal. The supporters of U21 Portugal booed when Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Taşcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ivaylo Yordanov came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the U21 Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivaylo Yordanov couldn't finish the play. Horia Taşcu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Ivaylo Yordanov might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edwin van der Sar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivaylo Yordanov ran back to his position shaking his head.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerónimo Furtado to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Leopoldo Gaxan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antero Linhares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 55 minutes into the match, Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivaylo Yordanov. Antero Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witalis Konopka in the 58th minute of the match. The corner led Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Piara Bue to fire away a dangerous shot which Antero Linhares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Edwin van der Sar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ from getting a goal against them. U21 Portugal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fernando Couto in the 65th minute. Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ made a substitution. Xande Solitario replaced Leukothoe Atsidakos. Ivaylo Yordanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo lago in the 75th minute of play forced U21 Portugal's goalkeeper Antero Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bernardo lago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antero Linhares was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. A collision led to U21 Portugal getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Adalberto Bomba hit a great ball. Antero Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Gaxan in the 81st minute of play. In the 87th minute, Bernardo lago made a precise shot to the right of Antero Linhares. U21 Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. The supporters of Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ booed when U21 Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustapha Hadji didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Bernardo lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. José Ventura hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
