The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uggeløse SIK were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after FC Lugano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. János Gyulai took the corner. János Gyulai made a great header on Uggeløse SIK's corner, it was just that FC Lugano's Godo Gøl managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Uggeløse SIK's Manoel Linhares got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miklos Hemmel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miklos Hemmel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 14th minute of the match. When Uggeløse SIK's Alex Wenike in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. FC Lugano's Jirko Bur was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Miklos Hemmel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 28 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Gautier Gehrig. In the 29th minute, János Gyulai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miklos Hemmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathongchai Borwongovitsakul in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Wenike got free with Godo Gøl in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Uggeløse SIK's Alex Wenike ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Godo Gøl. Godo Gøl yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of FC Lugano booed when Uggeløse SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. János Gyulai didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Qiao Jian to make the kick off. Uggeløse SIK's Miklos Hemmel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Uggeløse SIK from getting a goal against them. Godo Gøl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Wenike in the 66th minute of the match. If Alex Wenike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Godo Gøl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Wenike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Lugano's Vico Sticher got a free kick in the 75th minute. Uggeløse SIK's Sergio Berti was substituted for Daniel Cabral. FC Lugano's Godo Gøl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Wenike in the 78th minute of play. Qiao Jian succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 81st playminute. Uggeløse SIK's Jim Seirup was substituted for Georg Lindvig. FC Lugano:s Godo Gøl showed great skill when he stopped Alex Wenike:s penalty. FC Lugano's Godo Gøl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Wenike in the 94th minute of play. Jim Seirup fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godo Gøl having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
