The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulino Frechoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cliff Gottschalk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cliff Gottschalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Ignatius in the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Mick Racine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tarada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Tarada's Mick Racine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Germano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marc Nuessli took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 20 minutes, Deniz Egger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tarada and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tarada's Deniz Egger got a free kick in the 20th minute. Alvaro Ignatius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Cliff Gottschalk made a huge save. In the 22nd minute Johnny Raiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustaquio Gerazan kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Tarada's Laurent Weyermann broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 26 minutes into the game, Pedro Rojelio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarada the free kick. Dionisio Monico lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After having played for 29 minutes, Laurent Weyermann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurent Weyermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 30 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Rojelio. 31 minutes into the match, Tarada's Marc Nuessli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Germano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alvaro Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Tarada got a freekick which was hit by Henri Schäppi. After a rather tough play, Tarada's Marc Nuessli got a free kick in the 38th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnny Raiola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Germano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnny Raiola went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Paulino Frechoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Nuessli in the 61st minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Wolf Ehrenbolger came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Nuessli did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Carlos Germano 69 minutes into the match. A collision led to Tarada getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Timothee Rager hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Tarada's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Ignatius came free, but Cliff Gottschalk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Germano made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Johnny Raiola sent off a good shot on target. Paulino Frechoso hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tarada's goalkeeper Cliff Gottschalk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wolf Ehrenbolger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Carlos Germano made a huge save. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Atlanta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Laurent Weyermann was slow to take the kick. During this time Tarada's players had a chance to rest. Tarada's Laurent Weyermann was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Germano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 89th minute, Wolf Ehrenbolger made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Germano. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. In the 93rd minute, Tarada's Henri Schäppi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. When the final whistle sounded Tarada left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atlético Atlanta.
