FC Schwalbe and the The Phantom Troops FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of 1. FC Schwalbe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of The Phantom Troops FC:s goal. In the 4th minute there was a penalty for The Phantom Troops FC. Lakhdar Yahia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Reinhard de Jong. 1-0. When Humberto Hesp, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 13 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Salim Yahia was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 14th minute Edgard Mülder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salim Yahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1. FC Schwalbe's Reinhard de Jong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nassim Labi in the 18th minute of play. If Kurt Zondervan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgard Mülder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Yahia having to interfere. Evert Rogaars hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, 1. FC Schwalbe's goal looked a bit too open when Nassim Labi came free, but Reinhard de Jong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Klaus Schol took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Salim Yahia. Salim Yahia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mourad Bentifour hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Phantom Troops FC! The referee gave 1. FC Schwalbe a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kurt Zondervan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Phantom Troops FC's Salim Yahia. 1-2. Reinhard de Jong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nassim Labi in the 34th minute of play. Edgard Mülder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lakhdar Yahia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reinhard de Jong. 1. FC Schwalbe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, The Phantom Troops FC's Abdel Karim Drioueche made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reinhard de Jong was left in no man's land by his defense there! 1. FC Schwalbe's Reinhard de Jong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nassim Labi in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nassim Labi made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nassim Labi in the 51st minute of play forced 1. FC Schwalbe's goalkeeper Reinhard de Jong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, 1. FC Schwalbe's goal looked a bit too open when Abdel Karim Drioueche came free, but Reinhard de Jong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Kurt Zondervan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Salim Yahia. Kurt Zondervan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Klaus Schol hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Kurt Zondervan might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salim Yahia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Zondervan ran back to his position shaking his head. Kurt Zondervan struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Salim Yahia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1. FC Schwalbe. Reinhard de Jong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdel Karim Drioueche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nassim Labi kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, The Phantom Troops FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Bouwman came free, but Salim Yahia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the 1. FC Schwalbe defense, Abdel Karim Drioueche kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reinhard de Jong. The 1. FC Schwalbe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reinhard de Jong should have stopped the shot. Kurt Zondervan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Yahia having to interfere. The supporters of 1. FC Schwalbe booed when The Phantom Troops FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hemza Adjani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Zondervan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Salim Yahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 3-3. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Arne Bouwman made the kick off and play began. Reinhard de Jong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nassim Labi in the 101st minute of play. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Schwalbe's Jurjen Siepel got a free kick in the 107th minute. In the 111th minute Edgard Mülder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salim Yahia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score was still level after an even and exciting first-half in extra time. The players took a moment to grab a drink and get instructions from their managers before swapping ends.

Both teams seemed ready to fight when The Phantom Troops FC's Nassim Labi did the kick off and started the second half in the overtime. Kurt Zondervan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 118th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 120 minutes into the game, Klaus Schol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1. FC Schwalbe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Phantom Troops FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Schwalbe's Klaus Schol got a free kick in the 120th minute. When the match was over 1. FC Schwalbe could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than The Phantom Troops FC throughout the match.
