With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lancelot Cambero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute Carhue were awarded a corner. Petre Zărnescu went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Petre Zărnescu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Itacaruaré's Lancelot Cambero did a great save. When Leon Kaxen fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carhue's protests and gave Leon Kaxen a yellow card for diving instead. Benito Ubelteso made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Carhue's Igor Lluc. Lancelot Cambero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent-Jan Kindermans in the 20th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Itacaruaré's goal looked a bit too open when Brent-Jan Kindermans came free, but Lancelot Cambero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Emilio Benitez sped through Carhue's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angel Xacintu. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The wind increased when Emilio Benitez made the kick off in the second half. Brent-Jan Kindermans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Lancelot Cambero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Brent-Jan Kindermans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Lancelot Cambero made a huge save. Lancelot Cambero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brent-Jan Kindermans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Fabricio Checa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Xacintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Xu Wei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carhue players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Itacaruaré.
