In the 12th minute Huub Gerrits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Prutton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benji Corby scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Zoetmulder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isaac Prutton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huub Gerrits, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaac Prutton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The De Pelgrims fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when De Pelgrims's Kurt Ginneken looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 27th minute Zack Bye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Ginneken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Isaac Prutton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Jools Stamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes of play, De Pelgrims's Montrel Perpiñán made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isaac Prutton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kurt Ginneken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Huub Gerrits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Prutton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Dorking United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias de Ruijter came free, but Isaac Prutton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. De Pelgrims had played much better football throughout.
