Wit Kasperowicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gökberk Özgenc in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Gökberk Özgenc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wit Kasperowicz. KS LEW Chorzów's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gökberk Özgenc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, KS LEW Chorzów's Wit Kasperowicz got control of the ball when Gökberk Özgenc tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Wieslaw Maziarski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Västlund having to make a save. Ivan Västlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikolaj Budzynski, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Mikolaj Budzynski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Westra Aros SK's Ivan Västlund. Ivan Västlund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Westra Aros SK's Jörn Hylander was substituted for Normando Portillo. In the 83rd match minute, KS LEW Chorzów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wlodzimierz Zbikowski to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in KS LEW Chorzów's zone, Gökberk Özgenc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wit Kasperowicz came out of the goal and Gökberk Özgenc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of KS LEW Chorzów booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Hylander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Westra Aros SK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
