The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrinho Barreto in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorginho Rosado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 6 played minutes PelotaQuadrada FC got a freekick which was hit by Walmir de Castro. 8 minutes into the game, Marcelo Mello lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated David Fonseca. Japyra EC's Jorginho Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Machado in the 11th minute of play. Raimundo Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Fonseca having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Serafim Brasil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Japyra EC and the PelotaQuadrada FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Japyra EC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Serafim Brasil hit a great ball. In the 19th minute PelotaQuadrada FC were awarded a corner. Kléber Amaral went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to PelotaQuadrada FC's Hernani Barbosa getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Japyra EC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Barbosa came free, but Jorginho Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Pedrinho Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. PelotaQuadrada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute, Kauan Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PelotaQuadrada FC's David Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save PelotaQuadrada FC from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 32 in the game by Raimundo Pontes from a close distance when the talented David Fonseca managed to make a qualified save. PelotaQuadrada FC's players were relieved. Jorginho Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Kauan Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléber Amaral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jorginho Rosado. Japyra EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hernani Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Marcelo Mello took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Fonseca. David Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. Japyra EC's Jorginho Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Machado in the 51st minute of play. With a little luck, Japyra EC's Jorginho Rosado got control of the ball when Pedrinho Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Raimundo Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to PelotaQuadrada FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Diego Pereira hit a great ball. Raimundo Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kléber Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. PelotaQuadrada FC's David Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Mello in the 73rd minute of play. If Kauan Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Mello in the 77th minute of play. David Fonseca came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Japyra EC's Marcelo Mello. But to his dismay, Marcelo Mello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 80 played minutes Japyra EC got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Coutinho. 86 minutes into the match, Raimundo Pontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Fonseca. PelotaQuadrada FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimundo Pontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Pedrinho Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorginho Rosado having to make a save. David Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PelotaQuadrada FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
