A collision led to Garín FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. After a rather tough play, Passo Fundo SC's Rodriguinho da Silva got a free kick in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Garín FC's Prudencio Mambru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas de Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renan Soares in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Havier saved Garín FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Renan Soares took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Eriberto Havier to make any attempt to save it. Teobaldo Ceandro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After taking down the ball on Garín FC's corner Teobaldo Ceandro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonas de Toledo quite easily take care of the ball. Eriberto Havier made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Juninho Teles sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prudencio Mambru in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas de Toledo saved Passo Fundo SC from getting behind. The supporters of Passo Fundo SC booed when Garín FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Naike didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Soares in the 40th minute of play forced Garín FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Havier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juninho Teles came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eriberto Havier could save by the left post. In the 46thth minute of the game Prudencio Mambru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Passo Fundo SC's Jonas de Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
Passo Fundo SC's Jonas de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Passo Fundo SC from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the match, Adalberto Motta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eriberto Havier. Garín FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adalberto Motta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Jonas de Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Eriberto Havier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho da Silva in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute Renan Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Havier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute Juninho Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Havier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
