The supporters of KIFC booed when Japyra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Japyra EC's Kauan Arósio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Božo Dragišić was left in no man's land by his defense there! Radojica Vesić struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Jorginho Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KIFC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mladen Čonkić in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorginho Rosado saved Japyra EC from getting behind. Janko Todić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Rosado having to interfere. Marcelo Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Božo Dragišić having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Kauan Arósio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Božo Dragišić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 31 played minutes KIFC got a freekick which was hit by Janko Todić. Nikola Jezdimirović kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Radojica Vesić fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KIFC's protests and gave Radojica Vesić a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, KIFC's Radojica Vesić got a free kick in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Mello in the 36th minute of play forced KIFC's goalkeeper Božo Dragišić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Japyra EC's Kauan Arósio made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Pontes in the 41st minute of play forced KIFC's goalkeeper Božo Dragišić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KIFC's Božo Dragišić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Mello in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Japyra EC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mladen Čonkić made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Marcelo Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Japyra EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Božo Dragišić made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Raimundo Pontes sent off a good shot on target. After 54 played minutes KIFC got a freekick which was hit by Đorđe Šaranov. The crowd rose to their feet as Serginho Coutinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Božo Dragišić. That made the score 2-4 in the 56 minute of play. If Marcelo Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radojica Vesić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Rosado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mladen Čonkić in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorginho Rosado saved Japyra EC from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, KIFC's goalkeeper Božo Dragišić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kauan Arósio. 71 minutes into the match, KIFC's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Coutinho came free, but Božo Dragišić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Božo Dragišić was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Marcelo Mello capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcelo Mello really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. 78 minutes into the match, Japyra EC's goal looked a bit too open when Mladen Čonkić came free, but Jorginho Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, KIFC's Janko Todić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorginho Rosado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. KIFC made a substitution. Ljuba Dragović replaced Milivoj Gogić. 90 minutes into the game, Marcelo Mello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Japyra EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KIFC the free kick. In the 90th minute, Marcelo Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KIFC made a substitution. Stamenko Knežević replaced Janko Todić. After a rather tough play, Japyra EC's Marcelo Mello got a free kick in the 91st minute. Jorginho Rosado came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by KIFC's Stamenko Knežević. But to his dismay, Stamenko Knežević quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-5. Kauan Arósio hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Japyra EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
