In the 5th minute, Garín FC's Prudencio Mambru dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 7 minutes into the game, Passo Fundo SC's Juninho Teles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eriberto Havier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 12 minutes of play, Garín FC's Prudencio Mambru made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonas de Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Prudencio Mambru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Jonas de Toledo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Teles in the 16th minute of play forced Garín FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Havier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Garín FC defense, Renan Soares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Havier. The Garín FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Havier should have stopped the shot. Jonas de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Mambru in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Ceandro got free with Jonas de Toledo in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adalberto Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Alejo Gimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas de Toledo was a little too slow when Prudencio Mambru got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Soares in the 34th minute of play forced Garín FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Havier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Renan Soares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Passo Fundo SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Prudencio Mambru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jonas de Toledo made a huge save. Jonas de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Gimenez in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Válter da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Alejo Gimenez made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Garín FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Motta came free, but Eriberto Havier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Renan Soares notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Garín FC's Eriberto Havier. Eriberto Havier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arturo Naike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas de Toledo having to interfere. When Passo Fundo SC's Juninho Teles in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garín FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Soares in the 65th minute of play forced Garín FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Havier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prudencio Mambru scored 4-4 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eriberto Havier didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 70th minute, which inside left pole to 4-5. If Arturo Naike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, Arturo Naike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-5. Jonas de Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Renan Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Havier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes Passo Fundo SC got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Vargas. Garín FC's Prudencio Mambru got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Garín FC's zone, Renan Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Havier came out of the goal and Renan Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Juninho Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eriberto Havier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Alejo Gimenez took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas de Toledo. Jonas de Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-5. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Garín FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Passo Fundo SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
