Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Renan Soares started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Japyra EC's zone, João da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Rosado came out of the goal and João da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Japyra EC's Jorginho Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João da Rocha in the 6th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Serginho Coutinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonas de Toledo. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Renan Soares sped through Japyra EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorginho Rosado. When Fernandinho Vargas came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Passo Fundo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho Vargas couldn't finish the play. Betão Quadros hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Marcelo Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Pontes got free with Jonas de Toledo in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serginho Coutinho during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorginho Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Soares in the 34th minute of the match. Juninho Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Rosado having to interfere. Kauan Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonas de Toledo was a little too slow when Marcelo Mello got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 2-1.

The wind increased when Marcelo Mello made the kick off in the second half. The Passo Fundo SC fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Passo Fundo SC's Juninho Teles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 54 minutes into the game, Passo Fundo SC's Renan Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorginho Rosado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Raimundo Pontes scored 3-3 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonas de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Mello in the 65th minute of play. When Passo Fundo SC's Juninho Teles in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Japyra EC's goalie prevented a goal. Jonas de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauan Arósio in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Serginho Coutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas de Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. When Rodriguinho da Silva came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Passo Fundo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodriguinho da Silva couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute, Passo Fundo SC's Juninho Teles ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jorginho Rosado. Jorginho Rosado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-5. Raimundo Pontes scored 5-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonas de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, João da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Passo Fundo SC's Rodriguinho da Silva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorginho Rosado. That made the score 5-6 after 94 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Passo Fundo SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
