In the 6th minute, Kauan Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlo Richter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Jorginho Rosado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kauan Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Marcus Keller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Keller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Mello in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Japyra EC got a corner. Schurke F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Faustão Bittencourt ran over to the corner to take the kick. Japyra EC's Faustão Bittencourt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcus Keller in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Mello in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Keller prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Marcelo Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Japyra EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Keller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th match minute, Japyra EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Raimundo Pontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Japyra EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Antoni Brändle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41stth minute of the game Carlo Richter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Japyra EC's Jorginho Rosado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Carlo Richter sped through Japyra EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorginho Rosado. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlo Richter to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Serginho Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Japyra EC and the Schurke F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Serginho Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Marcus Keller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Mello in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Japyra EC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Serginho Coutinho hit a great ball. In the 62nd match minute, Schurke F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rissi Meyer to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute of the match, Marcelo Mello tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcus Keller saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 70th minute, Cláudio Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute Marcelo Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Keller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Raimundo Pontes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 73 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Marcus Keller was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Marcus Keller made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Raimundo Pontes sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Marcus Keller managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Japyra EC's Raimundo Pontes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelo Mello kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcus Keller. That made the score 1-3 in the 82 minute of play. Marcus Keller was a little too slow when Kauan Arósio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-4. 89 minutes into the game, Kauan Arósio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Japyra EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schurke F.C the free kick. Serafim Brasil charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafim Brasil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serafim Brasil hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Schurke F.C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Japyra EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Japyra EC.
