The crowd rose to their feet as Marzagão's Fabiano de Queiroz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Viriato Peixoto. That made the score 2-1 after 45 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Marzagão made a substitution. Remo Borges replaced Leonardo Vides. A collision led to FC Dezassete getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Honorato Santana hit a great ball. Viriato Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleiton Paulista in the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Marzagão's Válbson Fernandes got a free kick in the 61st minute. FC Dezassete were furious when Nicolas Guterres was red carded, 64 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Dezassete fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Cleiton Paulista shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Dezassete's goalkeeper Viriato Peixoto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, FC Dezassete's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano de Queiroz came free, but Viriato Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano de Queiroz hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Remo Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Torcato Caetano fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Dezassete's protests and gave Torcato Caetano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Torcato Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Fabiano de Queiroz made a precise shot to the right of Viriato Peixoto. FC Dezassete's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. FC Dezassete's Viriato Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Mar in the 96th minute of play. Marzagão's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
