The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's goalkeeper Rafael Fix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Marin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Maropoulos in the 10th minute of play forced Matheu City FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Eguen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes Matheu City FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alex Palleschi who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Pan Queso y Leberbush FC's Dimitris Maropoulos getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The supporters of Pan Queso y Leberbush FC booed when Matheu City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Egoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Cornelio Cesaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Eguen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Eguen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dimitris Maropoulos made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Dimitris Maropoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dimitris Maropoulos got free with Celedonio Eguen in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Matheu City FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Eguen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimitris Maropoulos. In the 91stth minute of the game Marc Almstedt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matheu City FC's Celedonio Eguen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marc Almstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Eguen having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pan Queso y Leberbush FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
