In the 8th minute Kieth Hacke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rudolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Pieter Van Cauwenbergh hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 11 played minutes Red Army got a freekick which was hit by Soheil Mahdavikia. Alvaro Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toon Teunens in the 17th minute of the match. Alvaro Rudolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toon Teunens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toon Teunens in the 22nd minute of play forced Red Army's goalkeeper Alvaro Rudolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salar Kazemzadeh hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Mehrab Rohani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Felix Gysemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th match minute, Red Army was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soheil Mahdavikia to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kieth Hacke in the 31st minute of the match. Dany-Adams Van Deyck hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Red Army's Ball Packert threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Salar Kazemzadeh, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ball Packert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Soheil Mahdavikia in the 38th minute. After 41 played minutes Red Army got a freekick which was hit by Hossein Fatehi. Ali Karimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ball Packert having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ali Reza Abdi to make the kick off. Ball Packert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salar Kazemzadeh in the 53rd minute of the match. Alvaro Rudolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toon Teunens in the 55th minute. Red Army's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Kieth Hacke scored to the left of an out of position Alvaro Rudolfo, making the score, 0-1. 65 minutes into the game, Ali Reza Abdi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ball Packert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute, Willy Smidts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hossein Fatehi came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Red Army fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hossein Fatehi couldn't finish the play. Ball Packert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hossein Fatehi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ali Reza Abdi scored 2-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ball Packert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ball Packert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salar Kazemzadeh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Red Army defense, Ros Vos de Vos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Rudolfo. The Red Army fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Rudolfo should have stopped the shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
