Gilmar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Makaay in the 14th minute of play. With a little luck, Barcelona de América's Gilmar Quadros got control of the ball when Roy Makaay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilmar Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Makaay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gentenaar in the 18th minute of play. The corner led Barcelona de América's Bradford Scalzo to fire away a dangerous shot which Nenko Reza despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Barcelona de América getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Viorel Oniga hit a great ball. With his leg Gilmar Quadros managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Villaverde Celeste Clube's Kıraç Uskan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 31 minutes into the match, Barcelona de América's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Makaay came free, but Gilmar Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dino Manfredi got free with Gilmar Quadros in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute Barcelona de América were awarded a corner. Bradford Scalzo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Calisto Cean almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Viergol in the 43rd minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Nenko Reza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Viergol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Roy Makaay made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kıraç Uskan in the 54th minute of play forced Barcelona de América's goalkeeper Gilmar Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perlaza Lena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nenko Reza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Roy Makaay took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilmar Quadros. Gilmar Quadros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Villaverde Celeste Clube made a substitution. Armandinho Xavier replaced Guo Ao. If Thomas Ravousis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Tang Qian Xiong with William Lucas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 81stth minute of the game Zayvion Ispuzua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Dino Manfredi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Viorel Oniga in the 83 minute of the game. Tang Qian Xiong made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by William Lucas. After 87 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Kıraç Uskan. After some careless play in the Barcelona de América defense, Roy Makaay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilmar Quadros. The Barcelona de América fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilmar Quadros should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Villaverde Celeste Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barcelona de América had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
