The supporters of Sentimiento Auriazul booed when FC Melon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Janič didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Felix Johans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Melon's Ján Tuleja was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sentimiento Auriazul's Felix Johans in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Melon's goalie prevented a goal. If Lukáš Hučka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sentimiento Auriazul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Matej Adamec was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Melon's players had a chance to rest. Lukáš Hučka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Santiago Cañizares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Johans in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ján Tuleja prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Melon's Tomáš Barčík quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Dalmu, made in the 37th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Johans in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Melon's goalkeeper Ján Tuleja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Bustos kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Johans to make the kick off. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukáš Hučka, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Ján Tuleja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Fidanza in the 58th minute of the match. Ján Tuleja was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando Fidanza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 61 minute of play. After 66 played minutes FC Melon got a freekick which was hit by Richard Kremeň. In the 67th match minute, FC Melon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Kremeň to maneuver through the defense. Felix Johans struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ján Tuleja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sentimiento Auriazul. After 70 played minutes Sentimiento Auriazul got a freekick which was hit by Erling Larsson. When Peter Holub came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the FC Melon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Holub couldn't finish the play. Peter Holub might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Cañizares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Holub ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Peter Holub's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Cañizares was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Santiago Cañizares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Holub's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. FC Melon's Ján Tuleja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Hinkler in the 78th minute of play. When FC Melon's Peter Holub in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sentimiento Auriazul's goalie prevented a goal. FC Melon's Ján Tuleja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save FC Melon from getting a goal against them. Felix Johans did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Ján Tuleja 95 minutes into the match. Sentimiento Auriazul's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
