Gonçalo de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Unidad de Matanza's Nestor Bâru. But to his dismay, Nestor Bâru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Espigão Steamrollers's attentive Leandro Gil managed to snatch the ball when Freddy Quintyn made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's Roneixon Siqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Venancio Cristofol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Venancio Cristofol was a little too slow when Roneixon Siqueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-3. The audience was convinced that Nestor Bâru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonçalo de Medeiros was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Roneixon Siqueira struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Venancio Cristofol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espigão Steamrollers. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
