Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thomas Vollmar started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Zé Paulo Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Newcastle United's Pankracy Malicki slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iker Casillas. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. Iker Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Vollmar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Casillas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pankracy Malicki in the 14th minute. Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rab Uba in the 16th minute of play. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrizio Canzano, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Lia Marquez struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Gordiani. Fabrizio Canzano took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikolaj Jerzyk. Mikolaj Jerzyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Pankracy Malicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Iker Casillas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iker Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Vollmar, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lia Marquez in the 43rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Vollmar in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Casillas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United's Kajetan Kochniarczyk got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Lia Marquez made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Adam Pacholewski hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Thomas Vollmar put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Iker Casillas. Newcastle United's Benedykt Gdaniec was substituted for Tadeusz Pstrongowski. The audience was convinced that Thomas Vollmar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iker Casillas was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Pankracy Malicki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th match minute, Villa Gordiani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristoforo Flocco to maneuver through the defense. If Thomas Vollmar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute Thomas Vollmar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lia Marquez in the 66th minute of play. In the 68thth minute of the game Thomas Vollmar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Newcastle United's Thomas Vollmar got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rab Uba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Mikolaj Jerzyk when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Newcastle United's zone, Rab Uba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikolaj Jerzyk came out of the goal and Rab Uba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Vollmar came free, but Iker Casillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th play minute Rab Uba came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mikolaj Jerzyk. 2-2. Thomas Vollmar hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Iker Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Vollmar, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Iker Casillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 89th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Villa Gordiani players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Newcastle United.
