The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Hector Garin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Oravițan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s Giovanny Panhuijsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicodim Iacobeanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 5th minute of the match FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM- got a corner. Fc Otelul Galati's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jacob Rawlings ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Iustinian Prunaru got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nicodim Iacobeanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Garin got free with Dacian Oravițan in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, Fc Otelul Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Frunză came free, but Nicodim Iacobeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicodim Iacobeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Frunză in the 16th minute of the match. Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Stănciulescu in the 17th minute of play. FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s Dacian Oravițan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Garin in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Garin in the 24th minute of play forced FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s goalkeeper Dacian Oravițan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dacian Oravițan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aresti Pareja in the 25th minute of the match. Dacian Oravițan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Garin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dacian Oravițan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Garin in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute Jacob Rawlings shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Iacobeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Panait Stănciulescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Fc Otelul Galati's Miltos Zouvelekis got a free kick in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Fc Otelul Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Frunză came free, but Nicodim Iacobeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Bădilescu to maneuver through the defense. FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s Dacian Oravițan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Garin in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute of the match, Francesco Di Luca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nicodim Iacobeanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Panait Stănciulescu charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Panait Stănciulescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s Panait Stănciulescu got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Garin in the 55th minute of play forced FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s goalkeeper Dacian Oravițan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM- getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Manole Frunză hit a great ball. Nicodim Iacobeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manole Frunză, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacob Rawlings made a great header on FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s corner, it was just that Fc Otelul Galati's Nicodim Iacobeanu managed to reach the ball for a save. Dacian Oravițan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Penc in the 66th minute of play. When FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s Manole Frunză in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fc Otelul Galati's goalie prevented a goal. Nicodim Iacobeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacob Rawlings in the 77th minute. Manole Frunză did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Nicodim Iacobeanu 78 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Florian Penc came free, but Dacian Oravițan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicodim Iacobeanu was a little too slow when Panait Stănciulescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-2. Nicodim Iacobeanu made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Jacob Rawlings sent off a good shot on target. Dacian Oravițan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aresti Pareja in the 90th minute of the match. Nicodim Iacobeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Frunză in the 92nd minute of play. Dacian Oravițan came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Otelul Galati's Hector Garin. But to his dismay, Hector Garin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. FC ★C.ă.T.ă★-MM-'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
