Rickey Joseph showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hidalgo Gallegos in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Victor Peres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Key Biscayne FC's Rickey Joseph was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Drew Latham got free with Ismael Rossell in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Loja S.C.'s Ismael Rossell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tristan Alford in the 27th minute of play. Key Biscayne FC were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Loja S.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fermín Montes took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Lance Pate heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 35 played minutes Key Biscayne FC got a freekick which was hit by Tristan Alford. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Rickey Joseph, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hidalgo Gallegos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Key Biscayne FC's Tristan Alford in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Loja S.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute Luis-Antonio Barraza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickey Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Drew Latham was the one to do the kick off. Dexter Benton hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 52 minutes into the match, Fabricio Vedeja dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rickey Joseph, 0-1. Hidalgo Gallegos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rickey Joseph having to make a save. Victor Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Rickey Joseph made a huge save. Ismael Rossell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dexter Benton in the 58th minute of play. Rickey Joseph took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis-Antonio Barraza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lance Pate came free, but Ismael Rossell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabricio Vedeja scored 0-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rickey Joseph, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ismael Rossell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lance Pate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Rossell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tristan Alford went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. During the 71st minute of the match Tristan Alford completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tristan Alford a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 72nd match minute, Key Biscayne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tristan Alford to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd match minute, Loja S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justavino Gonta to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hidalgo Gallegos got free with Rickey Joseph in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Key Biscayne FC's Rickey Joseph proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Key Biscayne FC from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Fabricio Vedeja made a precise shot to the right of Rickey Joseph. Key Biscayne FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Ismael Rossell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Drew Latham in the 92nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Key Biscayne FC's Fermín Montes tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Loja S.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
