In the 21st minute, Téo Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freeman Mächler, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Lúcio Viana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Andre Zurbuchen made a huge save. The supporters of Agua Santa booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Pasquino didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Espen Steelers's Andre Zurbuchen got control of the ball when Cipriano Pinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomé Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freeman Mächler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Agua Santa. Andre Zurbuchen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Quintal in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Philipp Junod to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Pinho came free, but Andre Zurbuchen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Agua Santa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kenan Vinciguerra was slow to take the kick. During this time Espen Steelers's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Freeman Mächler heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 58 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Pinho came free, but Andre Zurbuchen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Agua Santa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Agua Santa made a substitution. Pedro Luís Arantes replaced Murilo Fernandes. Espen Steelers's Marco Léveillé was substituted for Harley Routhier. The tension between the Espen Steelers and the Agua Santa players grew even worse after the yellow card. 68 minutes into the game, Agua Santa's Cipriano Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andre Zurbuchen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 75th match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Beljean to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the game, Gavin Ciprella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espen Steelers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agua Santa the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Espen Steelers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Lúcio Viana shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Agua Santa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Freeman Mächler scored to the left of an out of position Tomé Mota, making the score, 1-1. Andre Zurbuchen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Pinho in the 89th minute of the match. In the 97th match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Zberg to maneuver through the defense. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 1-1. Extra-time would have to be played.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Cipriano Pinho made the kick off and play began. Cléberson do Valle lost his temper 105 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Cléberson do Valle hit a great freekick 107 minutes into the match. Dan Beljean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 111th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Mota having to interfere. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 115 minutes play. Kenan Vinciguerra hit a great ball. The first half of extra-time was a real thriller. Both teams had created chances, but they were still tied when the whistle blew. The players were able to take a short breather during the short break.

Everyone could clearly see that both Espen Steelers's and Agua Santa's players was becoming tired in their legs when Espen Steelers's Dan Beljean did the kick off in the second half of the overtime. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 120 minutes play. Hubert Gartenmann hit a great ball. In the 121st minute of the match Téo Tróia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andre Zurbuchen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 2-1 became the score in the 125th minute when Pedro Luís Arantes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Agua Santa's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
