Ciriaco Macias was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Ferrer came free, but Ciriaco Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to Defensores de Lombroso getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jonathan Raphael hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Cristo Basajaun could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Gianluca Buffon however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Defensores de Lombroso's Gianluca Buffon got control of the ball when Cristo Basajaun tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the C.A.Independiente defense, Lionel-Andrés Messi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciriaco Macias. The C.A.Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciriaco Macias should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Gianluca Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indiana Jones in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Ferrer in the 57th minute of play forced C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciriaco Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. A hard shot 60 in the game by Bruno Sauveur from a close distance when the talented Ciriaco Macias managed to make a qualified save. C.A.Independiente's players were relieved. Defensores de Lombroso's Bruno Sauveur managed to work through C.A.Independiente's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bruno Sauveur dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 62 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but Gianluca Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uriel Ferrer. In the 64th minute Uriel Ferrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gianluca Buffon came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Independiente's Cristo Basajaun. But to his dismay, Cristo Basajaun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Defensores de Lombroso made a substitution. Valentín Barco replaced Federico Pirro. Indiana Jones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gianluca Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Defensores de Lombroso got a freekick which was hit by Alan Varela. A collision led to Defensores de Lombroso getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jonathan Raphael hit a great ball. C.A.Independiente's Lorenzo Rosas was substituted for Heigo Luiga. C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Independiente from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute, Cristo Basajaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ubaldo Gelacio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores de Lombroso's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Gelacio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Macias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
