But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Indiana Jones couldn't finish the play. If Cristo Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Indiana Jones took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atıf Mertoğul. Atıf Mertoğul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Luiz Eduardo Xavier notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of C.A.Independiente's Ciriaco Macias. Ciriaco Macias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristo Basajaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atıf Mertoğul having to interfere. Ciriaco Macias came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by 1947 FC's Huang Bing Ran. But to his dismay, Huang Bing Ran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 58 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Bonachea came free, but Ciriaco Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristo Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Atıf Mertoğul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The 1947 FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while C.A.Independiente had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
