Francisco Raymond came out of the goal and Gonzalo Chesus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Chesus came free, but Francisco Raymond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Gavino Hitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Orlondon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 15th minute Gonzalo Chesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Raymond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Raymond stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Chesus's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Sven-Edvin Dalgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Orlondon having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Sven-Edvin Dalgren got a free kick in the 21st minute. Perros del sur's Miguel Orlondon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Hitz in the 25th minute of play. Francisco Raymond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Chesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sixto Aimar got free with Francisco Raymond in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 40 minutes, Donato Viator made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Racing Club's Francisco Raymond tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Edvin Dalgren made a kick off. After 50 minutes, Gavino Hitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Perros del sur players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Perros del sur booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Hitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perros del sur's Mario Mandzukic was substituted for Gonzalo Chesus. In the 90th minute of the match Racing Club got a corner. Perros del sur's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Enrico Petrini ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Racing Club's corner Enrico Petrini fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Miguel Orlondon quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's 刘文峰 got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Mario Mandzukic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Perros del sur manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Racing Club to win.
