The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marlin FC's Juan Carlos Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Godoi in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes 1947 FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Enmanuel. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Linus Fredriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marlin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Linus Fredriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernd Yuschni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernd Yuschni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Panpili in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fermin Arixo in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernd Yuschni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Juan Carlos Alvarez made a huge save. Linus Fredriksson took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernd Yuschni. Bernd Yuschni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Goren Baños stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Marlin FC's Fermin Arixo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernd Yuschni. That made the score 0-2 after 58 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Huang Bing Ran in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Carlos Alvarez saved Marlin FC from getting behind. Linus Fredriksson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Bernd Yuschni skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Oscar Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 1947 FC's Jordan Poole was substituted for Melchor Xacintu. 1947 FC's Jeremias Stephen was substituted for Goren Baños. Oscar Godoi hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Giovanni Rana might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernd Yuschni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovanni Rana ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernd Yuschni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Arixo in the 76th minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 77th minute, but Bernd Yuschni got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving 1947 FC hanging dry this time. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Arixo in the 78th minute of play forced 1947 FC's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Iglesias kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Bernd Yuschni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Panpili in the 85th minute of play. Juan Carlos Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Stephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes in the game Fernando Ciano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fermin Arixo. Juan Carlos Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huang Bing Ran, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
