Ciriaco Macias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens-Ove Malm in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Cristo Basajaun notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix. Amauri Félix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ciriaco Macias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens-Ove Malm in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heigo Luiga in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amauri Félix saved Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from getting behind. In the 31st minute Øyvind Rovik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Ciriaco Macias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens-Ove Malm. Nereo Frederico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Amauri Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Øyvind Rovik in the 44th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Amauri Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Di Yang Feng. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Heigo Luiga made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Arce. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from getting a goal against them. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gavril Bosioc was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A.Independiente's players had a chance to rest. The corner led C.A.Independiente's Gavril Bosioc to fire away a dangerous shot which Amauri Félix despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ove Malm came free, but Ciriaco Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stoyadin Gulev to maneuver through the defense. Amauri Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heigo Luiga in the 61st minute of play. Amauri Félix came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Independiente's Heigo Luiga. But to his dismay, Heigo Luiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Birol Celilay was substituted for Thiago Neves. After 68 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Thiago Neves. In the 71st minute Marcos Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Macias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Di Yang Feng in the 73rd minute of the match. Jens-Ove Malm hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Amauri Félix made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Øyvind Rovik sent off a good shot on target. When Marcos Siqueira came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Siqueira couldn't finish the play. C.A.Independiente's Javier Milei was substituted for Indiana Jones. Marcos Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Tolgahan Onatkan came free, but Ciriaco Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Tolgahan Onatkan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ciriaco Macias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The C.A.Independiente supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.A.Independiente would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
