Wit Bronkala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stian Systad in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Cato Evenstad came free, but Wit Bronkala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emil Majtyka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cato Evenstad in the 21st minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Wit Bronkala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Majtyka got free with Karsten Hveding in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute Emil Majtyka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karsten Hveding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Majtyka in the 26th minute of play forced U21 Norway's goalkeeper Karsten Hveding to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Juan Raúl Škarpa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karsten Hveding showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A throw-in in the 47th minute of the game was made by Aleksander Ødegården with Cato Evenstad as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Walkowski to strike the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Adam Walkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Raúl Škarpa during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Karsten Hveding didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Poland.
