The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frederico França's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vânderson Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Frederico França notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lobo Guará's Vânderson Esteves. Vânderson Esteves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Lobo Guará booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Gustavo Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Bado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes of play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Frederico França made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vânderson Esteves was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ defense, Claudinei Tande kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karim Bado. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karim Bado should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Lobo Guará booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Gustavo Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Nicolas França got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lobo Guará's Vânderson Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico França in the 59th minute of play. Karim Bado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Tande in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Frederico França's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vânderson Esteves was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Fiori Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Fiori Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vânderson Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lobo Guará made a substitution. Artur Branco replaced Albertinho Leite. Vânderson Esteves came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Nicolas França. But to his dismay, Nicolas França quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ made a substitution. Renan Tepedino replaced Sidnei Sanches. Vânderson Esteves made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Frederico França sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rio Verde F.C CIMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
