In the 13thth minute of the game Robin Hultstrand who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lomas Athletic Club's Nicanor Frutos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ive Volckaerts didn't quite understand what happened when in the 15 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. If Ive Volckaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augustin Cârstea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Frutos having to interfere. Lomas Athletic Club's Nicanor Frutos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin de Queiroz in the 24th minute of play. Nicanor Frutos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ive Volckaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Augustin Cârstea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Frutos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin de Queiroz in the 46th minute of play forced Lomas Athletic Club's goalkeeper Nicanor Frutos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Michael hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Robin Hultstrand managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Death Ducks's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Hultstrand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicanor Frutos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franklin de Queiroz took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicanor Frutos. Nicanor Frutos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 66th play minutes Franklin de Queiroz shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Nicanor Frutos and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 70th minute, Franklin de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. D.J. Smith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Frutos having to interfere. Franklin de Queiroz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 80th playminute. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Nicanor Frutos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 83rd minute of the match Real Death Ducks got a corner. Lomas Athletic Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ive Volckaerts ran over to the corner to take the kick. 85 minutes into the game, Real Death Ducks's Robin Hultstrand nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicanor Frutos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6.
