The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Baldomero Lapurdi came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Nuevo Horizonte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Lapurdi couldn't finish the play. Donato Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Ramirez in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Renascer's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. David Gagriel was slow to take the kick. During this time Nuevo Horizonte's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 11 minutes, Baldomero Lapurdi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nuevo Horizonte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomero Lapurdi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute Horácio Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Egoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes in the game Guido Lucero did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Hernan Gumaro. Tiburcio Egoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Renascer's attentive Paz Munaya managed to snatch the ball when Nemesio Meder made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 46th match minute, Renascer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Maciel to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Nuevo Horizonte's David Gagriel tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomero Lapurdi to make the kick off. If Edmundo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Carvalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiburcio Egoi having to make a save. Leo Rutenio's late challenge caught a Renascer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Rutenio helped the player get up and apologised. 84 minutes into the match, Edmundo Carvalho notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Nuevo Horizonte's Tiburcio Egoi. Tiburcio Egoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tiburcio Egoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Tiburcio Egoi came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Renascer's Edmundo Carvalho. But to his dismay, Edmundo Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Edmundo Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Renascer's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
