Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jano Cavalcante started the match with the kick off. Delfim Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jano Cavalcante in the 3rd minute of the match. Delfim Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jano Cavalcante in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jano Cavalcante in the 3rd minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Delfim Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goalkeeper Oleg Timofeev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Cefero. 10 minutes in the game Laerte Paraíba did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Arthur Trigo. Wilfredo Cefero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Oleg Timofeev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jano Cavalcante might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delfim Chaves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jano Cavalcante ran back to his position shaking his head. Oleg Timofeev came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Galo do Japi's Joel Catarinense. But to his dismay, Joel Catarinense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jano Cavalcante in the 23rd minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Delfim Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfredo Cefero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oleg Timofeev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Laerte Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goalkeeper Oleg Timofeev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Cefero. Oleg Timofeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Catarinense in the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Fernandinho Botelho got a free kick in the 30th minute. Fernandinho Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Montevideo's Jano Cavalcante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delfim Chaves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Clóvis Paraense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oleg Timofeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oleg Timofeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Catarinense in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Wilfredo Cefero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Catarinense to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho de Almeida. Oleg Timofeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Catarinense in the 58th minute of play. Leandro Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Delfim Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jano Cavalcante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Delfim Chaves made a huge save. Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Cefero in the 69th minute of play. Galo do Japi were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Montevideo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Falcão Duarte took the corner. Oleg Timofeev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Catarinense's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Delfim Chaves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jano Cavalcante. With a little luck, Galo do Japi's Delfim Chaves got control of the ball when Jano Cavalcante tried to sneak it across the goal line. Montevideo were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Galo do Japi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Laerte Paraíba took the corner. After taking down the ball on Montevideo's corner Laerte Paraíba fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Delfim Chaves quite easily take care of the ball. Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Catarinense in the 82nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celsinho de Almeida during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 83 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho de Almeida. 90 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's Joel Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oleg Timofeev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Joel Catarinense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oleg Timofeev was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Oleg Timofeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
