Manuel Paiva started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Roceira SC booed when A A Arizona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Roceira SC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Miguel da Fonseca hit a great ball. Hu Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Fabiano Couto sped through A A Arizona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hu Zhen Hong. 28 minutes into the match, Roceira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Paiva came free, but Carlos Eduardo Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute A A Arizona were awarded a corner. Nilson Hoffmann went to the cornerflag to take it. A A Arizona's Nilson Hoffmann was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Eduardo Chaves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 37th minute of the match A A Arizona got a corner. Roceira SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nilson Hoffmann ran over to the corner to take the kick. A A Arizona's Manuel Paiva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Eduardo Chaves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 39 minutes into the game, Valério Paranaense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A A Arizona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roceira SC the free kick. Valério Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes A A Arizona got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo de Queirós. In the 41st minute Remo Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hu Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabiano Couto to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Roceira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Cruz came free, but Carlos Eduardo Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Roceira SC's Remo Gonçalves to fire away a dangerous shot which Hu Zhen Hong despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Tasso in the 82nd minute of play forced A A Arizona's goalkeeper Hu Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Manuel Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hu Zhen Hong made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Fabiano Couto sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Hu Zhen Hong successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 93 minutes into the game, A A Arizona's Ronaldinho Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Eduardo Chaves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Roceira SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than A A Arizona.
