The Independente FC fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Independente FC's Luiz Marquez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 15 minutes into the match, Roceira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Raí Prestes came free, but Carlos Eduardo Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Raí Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Marquez to make the kick off. Hudson Toscano made a great header on Independente FC's corner, it was just that Roceira SC's Carlos Eduardo Chaves managed to reach the ball for a save. Adriano Tande came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carlos Eduardo Chaves could save by the left post. Roceira SC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
