An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Boniel in the 18th minute of play forced Menchu FC's goalkeeper Filiberto Etxeberri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Aureo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Baldovino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jesus Boniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Leonides Vigil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristo Aureo. Asesinos Por Naturaleza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonides Vigil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 33rd minute, Leonides Vigil made a precise shot to the right of Cristo Aureo. Asesinos Por Naturaleza's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Roque Rivero hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Domingo Hernando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristo Aureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Baldovino in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Edgard Baldovino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Aureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Menchu FC's zone, Jesus Boniel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Etxeberri came out of the goal and Jesus Boniel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Menchu FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Baldovino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Dionisio Llorenc fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Asesinos Por Naturaleza's protests and gave Dionisio Llorenc a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute of the game, Menchu FC got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. When Denis Olando fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Menchu FC's Edgard Baldovino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristo Aureo. That made the score 1-7 after 98 minutes of play.
