Victorio Johans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Madeo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 37th match minute, ⭐Ƒꭙ⭐ Ex Inferis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Artal to maneuver through the defense. Damaso Playo in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Victorio Johans, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Osoro in the 56th minute of play forced Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Enrique Urtsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
