Simbo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramiro Kimetz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Celio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Pirro in the 86th minute of play forced Simbo FC's goalkeeper Severiano Bonifaco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gervasio Matei in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Celio saved ATLETICO MENDOZA from getting behind. Simbo FC were furious when Isaac Hanot was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Severiano Bonifaco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Aritza in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Erasmo Nataniel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Simbo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while ATLETICO MENDOZA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
