The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yu Guang Chen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Armando Basajaun made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Yu Guang Chen could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Armando Basajaun however easily saved by the left post. 9 minutes into the match, Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Corrêa came free, but Armando Basajaun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yu Guang Chen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Armando Basajaun made a huge save. In the 14th minute Federico Girotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dário Tepedino was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of Barreal FC booed when Cartero de Agronomia F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Rumaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, one of Barreal FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barreal FC. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Federico Girotti made the kick off in the second half. Cartero de Agronomia F.C.'s Armando Basajaun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Corrêa in the 52nd minute of play. Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Barreal FC from getting a goal against them.
