Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lisandro Nuñez kicked off to start the match. Lisandro Nuñez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Elpidio Vitin made a huge save. Lisandro Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 6 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Tiniebra. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severo Maule during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when Vélez Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Maule didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elpidio Vitin was a little too slow when Lisandro Nuñez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. SAN LORENZO FC's Dario Astigar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Quinteros in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Vélez Juniors got a corner. SAN LORENZO FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Santos Fonda ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Vélez Juniors's corner Cristian Naike fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dario Astigar quite easily take care of the ball. Dario Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Quinteros in the 19th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Artur Quintas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Vélez Juniors booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Quintas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Cristian Naike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dario Astigar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lisandro Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Elpidio Vitin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Quinteros came free, but Dario Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shao Zhen Xiao came free in the 42nd minute and tried to tip the ball over Elpidio Vitin, but to the joy of Vélez Juniors's supporters the ball went over. Tiburcio Quinteros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Dario Astigar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Santos Fonda hit a great ball. In the 56th match minute, SAN LORENZO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Léon Valin to maneuver through the defense. Léon Valin made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vélez Juniors's Severo Maule. Lisandro Nuñez might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elpidio Vitin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lisandro Nuñez ran back to his position shaking his head. Vélez Juniors made a substitution. Godofredo Ado replaced Donato Efraim. In the 66th minute, Santos Fonda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SAN LORENZO FC's Isaias Rosario was substituted for Allan Blom. SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell was substituted for Lisandro Nuñez. After 68 played minutes Vélez Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Santos Fonda. Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 71st minute of play. When SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vélez Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. 84 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's Cristian Naike sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dario Astigar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vélez Juniors's Santos Fonda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dario Astigar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 88 minutes, Ciriaco Cordarrell made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Ciriaco Cordarrell came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the SAN LORENZO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Cordarrell couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the SAN LORENZO FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
