Morten Strømnes's late challenge caught a Chimborazo A.F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Morten Strømnes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Morten Strømnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costin Duca scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremias Ledesma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Costin Duca sped through Chimborazo A.F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jeremias Ledesma. Ernesto Pacifico hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Jeremias Ledesma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Duca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Bizi took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruperto Maria. Ruperto Maria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 26th minute, Chimborazo A.F.C's Marcos Bizi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ruperto Maria. Ruperto Maria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. When Salmuera CP's Costin Duca in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chimborazo A.F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Jeremias Ledesma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fan Xing Zhou in the 33rd minute of play. Jeremias Ledesma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Duca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruperto Maria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Pacifico in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Fan Xing Zhou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salmuera CP's supporters rose to their feet, but Fan Xing Zhou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Ledesma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeremias Ledesma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Duca in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Hồ Kyhn kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Salmuera CP's Ruperto Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Bizi in the 51st minute of play. Ernesto Pacifico took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruperto Maria. Salmuera CP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Chimborazo A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Hồ Kyhn came free, but Jeremias Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Costin Duca fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jeremias Ledesma, passed just outside the right post. Ruperto Maria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Przemyslaw Solecki kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Chimborazo A.F.C getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Lóránt Vadász hit a great ball. Salmuera CP made a substitution. Valdo Corrêa replaced Torcuato Herrero. Valdo Corrêa, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Salmuera CP's Ruperto Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Cearense in the 71st minute of play. Ruperto Maria came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Chimborazo A.F.C's Marcos Bizi. But to his dismay, Marcos Bizi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Lóránt Vadász kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Costin Duca in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jeremias Ledesma, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jeremias Ledesma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costin Duca in the 85th minute. A collision led to Chimborazo A.F.C getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Przemyslaw Solecki hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Salmuera CP's Fan Xing Zhou slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeremias Ledesma. That made the score 3-5 after 86 minutes of play. Jeremias Ledesma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Duca in the 91st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costin Duca in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremias Ledesma saved Chimborazo A.F.C from getting behind. Salmuera CP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valdo Corrêa in the 98th minute. A nice corner shot did that Valdo Corrêa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeremias Ledesma quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Chimborazo A.F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Salmuera CP were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
