Omar Falleto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Pacifico, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Jeremias Ledesma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Costa in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Marcos Bizi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Omar Falleto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo A.F.C's Ernesto Pacifico got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Verner Sundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jeremias Ledesma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

David Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Ulises Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Ledesma was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 64thth minute of the game Ulises Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chimborazo A.F.C's Jeremias Ledesma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulises Costa in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Los Podridos ll's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
